. e e FPR 00-515 Town of Ovid COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD 721 State Centennial Building 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 March 20, 2000 RESOLUTION PREVIOUSLY DESIGNATED FLOODPLAIN STUDIES WHEREAS, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, completed a floodplain information report entitled "Special Flood Hazard Information Report, South Platte River, Volume ill, Logan-Sedgwick County, Colorado" dated June 1977; and WHEREAS, said report dated June 1977 was designated by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in May of 1997 by Resolution No. 451; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 451 contains approximate 100-year floodplain information for the South Platte River within the Town of Ovid; and STUDY TO BE FORMALLY ACTED ON WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Federal Insurance Administration, completed a floodplain information map entitled "Flood Hazard Boundary Map, Town of Ovid, Colorado (Sedgwick County)" dated November 21,1978; and WHEREAS, said Flood Hazard Boundary Map includes approximate floodplain delineations for the South Platte River within incorporated portions of the Ovid, as they were on November 21, 1978; and WHEREAS, the source of the technical information to support the Zone A floodplain delineations shown on said Flood Hazard Boundary Map is unknown and the documentation is unavailable; and WHEREAS, the initial identification date for floodplain information in the community was November 15,1974, which was later revised by said map dated November 21,1978; and WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board completed a new report entitled "Floodplain Information Report, Town of Ovid" dated March 2000 that incorporates said Flood Hazard Boundary Map dated November 21, 1978 and provides technical and regulatory floodplain information to supplement and said Flood Hazard Boundary Map; and
