CHANNEL TO MAIN CHANNEL (SHORT DISTANCE 5 OF HWY <br />14 E OF FT COLLINS.' THE a.F. CHANNEL RUNS ALUNG THE E SIDE OF j-25. INt: <br />SOIL CONSERVATION SERVICE (SCS) HAD STUOIED THE MAIN & O.F. CHANNELS N <br />OF CO RO 50. SIMONS, LI, & ASSOCIATES, INC.(SLA) HAO STUDIED ONLY THE <br />MAIN CHANNEL S OF CO RO 50. THIS STUDY WILL ALSO REDO THE MAIN CHANNEL <br />(WITH ONLY ONE LOW OISCHARGE) PORTION IN THE STUOV REACH. <br />SPECIFICALLY, THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY IS TO CONNECT SLA'S CRITERIA <br />(THEIR DISCHARGES & ELEVATIONS OF THE MAIN CHANNEL AT THE REENTRY POINT) <br />WITH SCS'S STARTING CRITERIA (ELEVATIONS & DISCHARGES) AT CO RD 50. <br />THIS ALSO INCLUDES SEVERAL SPLITTING, COMBINING. & LOSSES OF DISCHARGES <br />BECAUSE OF ARTIFICIAL BARRIERS & FLOWWAYS. <br />THE SLA STUDY ORIENTATED ALL OF THEIR SECTIONS LEFT TO RIGHT WHILE <br />LOOKING UPSTREAM. THIS STUDY MAINTAINS THAT ORIENTATION. <br />XS'S 20 & 21 (PART OF SLA STUDY) ARE IN THE MAIN CHANNEL & ARE KEPT THAT <br />WAY FOR THIS STUDY. THE O.F. CHANNEL Q ENTERS THE MAIN CHANNEL BETWEEN <br />XS'S 21 & 23. <br />DISCHARGES AT THIS POINT ARE RESULT OF LOSSES FROM ROUTINGS FROM CO RD 5 <br />TO THIS POINT.
