NO. 154 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />January 30, 1980 <br /> <br />R E ~ 0 L U ~ ~ 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town <br />of Silverthorne, Colorado," which includes floodplain information <br />and data for the Blue River, Straight Creek, and Willow Creek, <br />dated November, 1979, has been prepared by Gingery Associates, Inc., <br />under 'contract with the Federal Insurance Administration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Silverthorne has requested the <br />Colorado Water conservation Board to designate and approve the <br />floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), ColOrado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations fOr land uses on or along <br />any storm Or floodwater runoff,channel or basin only after designa- <br />tion and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, section 37-60-106(1) (c), ColoradO Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a lOa-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 30th day of January, 1980, that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated <br />by a lOa-year flood as set forth in said report; and <br />
