of 140,000 c.f.s. on the average of once in about 143 years. Coincident flow in the Purgatorie
River is 20,000 c.f.s. with the Arkansas River PDF peak of 140,000 c.f.s.

3The Purgatorie River, with regulation by Trinidad Dam and Reservoir, would produce a peak
of 102,000 c.f.s. on the average of once in about 143 years. Coincident flow in the Arkansas
River is 8,000 c.f.s. with the Purgatorie River PDF peak of 102,000 c.f.s.

"'The estimated peak flow at Las Animas from the J,me 1921 flood was 187,000 c.f.s. With
Pueblo Dam and Reservoir now in place the peak from the same flood would be reduced to
108,000 c.f.s.
