<br />(b) Within any A Zone on the FIRM, all new construction and <br />substantial improvements of nonresidential type shall: <br /> <br />(1) Have the lowest floor, including the basement, <br />elevated above the highest adjacent grade at least as <br />high as the depth number specified in feet on the FIRM <br />and at least two (2) feet if no depth number is <br />specified. <br /> <br />(2) Together with attendant utility and sanitary <br />facilities, be completely floodproofed to the level to <br />meet the floodproofing standard specified in Section <br />97-7A(2). <br /> <br />(c) Within any A Zone, adequate drainage paths around <br />structures on slopes shall be provided to guide <br />floodwaters around and away from structures. <br /> <br />C. Manufactured homes, <br /> <br />(1) All manufactured homes to be placed or substantially improved <br />within Zones Al-A30 and AE shall be elevated on a permanent <br />foundation such that the lowest floor of the manufactured <br />home is at or above the base flood elevation and is securely <br />anchored to an adequately anchored foundation system in <br />accordance with the provisions of Section 87-7A(4). <br /> <br />(2) For new manufactured home parks and manufactured home <br />subdivisions, for expansion to existing manufactured home <br />parks and manufactured home subdivisions where the repair, <br />reconstruction or improvement of the street, utilities and <br />pads equals or exceeds fifty percent (50%) of the value of <br />the streets, utilities and pads before the repair, <br />reconstruction or improvement has commenced and for <br />manufactured homes not placed in a manufactured home park or <br />manufactured home subdivision, it is required that: <br /> <br />(a) Stands or lots are elevated on compacted fill or on <br />pilings so that the lowest floor of the manufactured <br />home will be at or above the base flood elevation. <br /> <br />(b) Adequate surface drainage and access for a hauler be <br />provided. <br /> <br />(c) In the instance of elevation on pilings: <br /> <br />(1) Lots are large enough to permit steps. <br /> <br />(2) Piling foundations are placed in stable soil no <br />more than ten (10) feet apart. <br /> <br />(3) Reinforcement is provided for pilings more than <br />six (6) feet above the ground level. <br /> <br />Page 13 <br />
