Unless advised to the contrary, the release from
Lake Granby will be 20 ft3/s from October 1 through April.30, meas-
ured at the gage immediately below Granby Dam. Minimum required
releases during the May 1 - September 30 period are based on maintain-
ing certain discharges at the gaging atation below the Coffee-McQueary
Ditch, but are ~ubject to adjustment based on forecasted inflows, The
minimum required flow will be furnished operating personnel by the
Water Scheduling Division, Changes in the miniu.um required releases
are specified at the end of the month. To avoid unnecessary overtime,
changes will be made on Friday if the end of the month is Saturday, and
on ~bnday if the end of the month is Sunday.

Releases through the spillway will normally be scheduled by the
Water Scheduling Division,. In the absence of specific instructions,
bypass of water in excess of fish requirements ~Qall be made when the
waler' surface elevation of Lake Granby reaches/Bt79.5-. Releases will
be made to maintain the elevation by releases through the 30-inch
hollow-jet valve up to the capacity of the valve before raising the
spillway gates, The rate of increasing releases through the valve
and warning downstream inhabitants will be at the discretion of the
Chief, West Slope Area Branch.

If Lake Granby water surface continues to rise after the 30-inch
valve is completely open, both spillway gates will be raised .1 foot.
This will increase the outflow from about 430 ft3/s to 530 ft3/s.
The spillway gates will be raised in ,1-foot intervals with each
,1-foot rise in water surface elevation to prevent overtopping the
gates.. When the water surface elevation reaches 8280, the gates will
be raised as required to prevent exceeding this elevation.

The water surface must not be permitted to exceed 8280,3 feet to
prevent damage to property abutting on Lake Granby. . As inflow recedes,
the gates will not be lowered until the water surface elevation

EXHIBIT 27
