The Flood Frequency-Elevation and Discharge Data
table, Table 1, lists these elevations at selected reference points. The Flooded Area Maps

show the plan view of the flooded area on a contour base map and the high water

elevations for the 100-year flood can be interpolated from this. The Flood Profile shows

the low flow water surface elevation and the high water elevations for all four frequency
floods, and the Cross Sections show a graphical representation of the high water

elevations at typical valley cross sections throughout the study reach,
The Flood Profiles may be used in areas where controversy arises over the 100-year
flood boundary on the Flooded Area Maps. Since the Flood Profiles give the elevations

and distance or stationing from a known point, the high water elevations can be surveyed

on the ground to alleviate any discrepancies on the base map,

Control Markers

In order to locate points on the ground relating to information given in this report,

six control markers have been set in the study area. These markers are brass caps set in

concrete and their location is shown on the topographic maps prepared for this study. The

coordinates, elevations and a description of the markers are listed in Table 2. The survey

notes are contained in the Technical Addendum.

MARKER NO.

WRD-101

WRD-102

WRD-103

WRD-104

WRD-105

WRD-106

-16-

TABLE 2

CONTROL MARKER DATA

DESCRIPTIONS

Intersection 13-789 and
132-HVP-1

Offset HVC-4 at east side
of Town

Park Slab Brass on south
Fifth Street

Seventh Street and Water
Tank

Offset HVP-5 at west side
of Town

N.
