Police officers, through
monitoring, regulations and control will bear responsibilities for public safety.

UTILITIES

In the course of our work, WWE performed a utility search to locate utilities which would
conflict with the construction of boating modifications to the South Platte River at the
Union Avenue project site.

Utilities researched included water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, storm drainage, gas, steam,
pipelines, buried power, overhead power, cable television, telephone, and communication
cables. The various utility companies were contacted, records were reviewed, and available
mapping was obtained. Specific agencies contacted were:

1. City of Englewood
2. City of Sheridan

3. South Suburban Metropolitan Recreation and Park District

4. Denver Water Department

5. City of Denver

6. Metro Denver Sanitation District

7. Public Service Company

8. Mountain Bell

9. Urban Drainage & Flood Control District

10. Utility Notification Center of Colorado

A review was made of the USACE construction drawings for utilities and the resident
engineer for the Union Avenue construction project was interviewed concerning utility
locations. Field investigations were also made to determine the presence of visible utility
indications such as manholes. The investigations have been performed with the usual
standard of care, but no guarantees can be given.
