Union Avenue Boat Chute

At the concluslon of the UnJon Avenue boat chute meeting on August 22, 1988
held in the offices of the city of Sheridan, the following consensus was
reached:

1) Resolved that Wright Water Engineers is to proceed with Alternate 2A
with a modified first drop similar to that shown in Alternate 4.
including engineering modifications necessary for optimization.

Further, it was the consensus that time is of the essence and therefore
Wright Water Engineers should commence contacts with the U.S. Bureau of
Reclamation and commence designing the model emphasizing the Englewood
water intake facility, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers concrete dam.
the first pool, and the first drop which is the same for all alternates
considered.

2) Wright Water Engineers stated that this 8/22/88 mid-course correction
meeting was too early to discuss cost estimates because layout
optimization was needed and that WWE is awaiting unit cost prices from
a recent similar job in Boulder.

The group expressed a desire for relative cost, therefore. WWE USing
Alternate 2 as a basis of 1.0 provided relative values which range from
1.0 to 1.8.

3) Mr. Urbonas indicated a desire for boat chute modifications which would
provide connections between drops, with a reference to Alternate 1.

4) Mr. Walker will contact WWE regarding a model allowance. which was
estimated at $25,000. taking into consideration the desire of the USBR
to participate in this kind of endeavor.
