In a letter dated
June 26, 2000, Mr. Ed Jennings, P.E., P.LS., requested that FEMA revise the FIRM and FIS report to
show the effects of a revised hydraulic analysis that incorporated existing channel improvements, drop
structures, and culverts along Van Bibber Creek Tributary (Tributary) from approximately 350 feet
downstream of West 58th Place to just downstream of West 58th Avenue. The revised hydraulic
analysis is considered a corrected effective model because all the channel improvements existed before
detailed information was incorporated into the FIRM and FIS report in 1989. The Special Flood Hazard
Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled
or exceeded in any given year (base flood), for the subject reach is designated on the effective FIRM as
Zone A2, an SFHA with Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) and flood hazard factors determined.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from Mr. Jennings.

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM
and FIS report. We have revised the FIRM and FIS report to modify the elevations and floodplain
boundary delineations of the base flood along the Tributary from approximately 350 feet downstream of
West 58th Place to just downstream of West 58th Avenue. As a result of the modifications, the BFEs for
the Tributary increased, and the width of the SFHA increased in some areas and decreased in other areas.
The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copies of FIRM Panel 0165 B and Profile
Panels 434P, 435P, and 436P. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the
above-referenced panel of the effective FIRM dated August 5, 1986, and the affected portions of the FIS
report dated July 4, 1989.

The modifications are effective as of the date shown above. The map panel listed above and as modified
by this letter will be used for all flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your community.
