An adequate 100-year grass-lined channel exists from Vance Street to Sixth

Avenue. A new grass-lined channel would be constructed from Sixth Avenue

downstream to 150-feet upstream of Reed Street. A 4-foot by 6-foot rein-

forced concrete box culvert (RCB) would carry normal storm flows across

Reed Street to the Lakewood Country Club golf course pond. Flows in excess

of the RCB's capacity would flow overland to the country club within the

existing floodplain. The channel within the country club would be flood-

plain delineated. Two structures at Reed Street would be flood proofed

to eliminate the costly removal of the residences.

The 100-year floodplain is to be regulated and it is recommended that the
