COMMENTARY - SHEET 9 OF 12

COST ESTIMATE - SHEET 9 OF 12

Floodplain regulation is the recommended plan for this reach. One private
property is currently impacted by flooding and purchase of flood insurance
should be encouraged.

ITEM

Channel Improvements (Low Flow Rip-Rapped Channel)
Street Crossings
Utility Relocation
Detention Facility (Principal Pipe Outlet)

Discussion regarding the detention basin is provided in the commentary for
Sheet 8. Sheet 9 shows the profile for the principle outlet and the low flow
channel. The cost estimate following this commentary documents the estimated
cost of the principle outlet works and the low flow channel. All other costs
associated with the detention facility are included with the commentaries for
Sheets 7 and 8.

Subtotal
Contingencies (15%)
Engineering, Legal & Administrative (15%)

An annual maintenance cost has been estimated for the channel upstream of the
proposed low flow channel to include the cost of debris clean-up. An improved
channel is not recommended at this time. Should improvements be considered
as part of future development in this area, the technical data and criteria
presented in this report should be utilized and channels should be improved
utilizing the latest Urban Storm Drainage Criteria Manual guidelines.

TOTAL CONSTRUCTION COST

Right-of-Way Acquisition (See Sheet 8)

TOTAL CAPITOL COST OF IMPROVEMENTS

TOTALS IN EACH JURISDICTION

City of Golden
Jefferson County

Annual Operation and Maintenance Costs

COST
$ 18,100
-0-
-0-
46,000
64,100
9,615
9,615
83,330
-0-
83,330

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I~

83,330
-0-

(900)
