The floodplain for this reach is not widespread
and has maximum widths of 200 feet to 250 feet. The stream gradient is steep
with slopes exceeding 2%.

at a storm sewer junction box northeast of the intersection of Jackson Street
and 20th Street. The majority of the main stem reach is storm-sewered with
Jackson and Ford Streets being the major overflow areas. The storm sewer
includes a 96-inch CMP adjacent to Jackson Street, and a combined elliptical
pipe and 6-feet by II-feet concrete flume through the Coors property. A short
reach of open channel exists for a distance of 100 feet immediately downstream
of 15th St reet.

Development along Tucker Gulch consists of industrial, commercial and residen-
tial in the area downstream of Highway #58. Above Highway #58, residential
development has continued along both sides of the drainageway. With the
exception of some channel ization work, which has occurred upstream of 7th
Place, the Tucker Gulch floodplain has experienced no significant encroachment
in the upper reaches.

Deve 1 opment along Kenneys Run cons i sts of Coors offi ces, school property,
banks, churches, gas stations, a Safeway store, office buildings, and other
commercial establishments and residential structures. A significant flood
damage potential is characteristic of this study reach.

The Tucker Gulch drainageway has a total study reach length of 7,800 feet.

The main stem of Kenneys Run has a total study reach length of approximately
3,600 feet.

- Cressmans Gulch -

- West Fork Kenneys Run -

The study area for Cressmans Gulch begins at the confluence with Tucker Gulch
and ends immediately upstream of Highway #93. The al ignment of Cressmans
Gulch has been relocated from its historic channel to east of the abandoned
railroad grade. The historic channel now ends at North Ford Street east of an
existing residential subdivision.

Development in the study area consists of two residential properties located
east of North Ford Street, a residential subdivision named North Golden Edge
Subdivision, located west of Ford Street, and industrial development upstream
(west) of State Highway #93.

The West Fork Kenneys Run is considered the main stem extension of Kenneys
Run. The study area begins at 20th Street and ends upstream of U.S. Highway
#6. Tributary No.1, a left bank tributary to the West Fork located immedia-
tely downstream of U.S. Highway #6, is included as part of this study reach.
Storm waters enter the downstream storm sewer system at the intersection of
Jackson and 20th Streets. Major stream crossings in the reach include 23rd
Street, 24th Street, a private road crossing downstream of the Tributary No.1
confl uence, and U.S. Hi ghway #6. The Welch Di tch intersects the drai nageway
in this reach a short distance upstream of the Golden High School property.

- Kenneys Run -

The drai nageway traverses through developed resi dent i a 1 properti es between
20th Street and 24th Street. Upstream of 24th Street, the stream adjoi ns and
bisects the Golden High School property. Upstream of the High School, the
area is primarily undeveloped, with the exception of one residential property
along Tributary No.1 downstream of Highway #6.

The Cressmans Gulch drainageway has a total study reach length of 4,000 feet.

The study area for Kenneys Run begins at the confluence with Clear Creek
ends at the point where the stream splits to become the East and West Forks of
Kenneys Run. The drainageway al i gnment traverses the Adol ph Coors property
west of the main brewery buildings and facilities. This main stem reach ends

The total length of this study reach is approximately 7,100 feet, which
i ncl udes a 700-foot reach of Tri butary No. 1. 111- 2
