<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />FPR 301 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, COlorado 80203 <br /> <br />July 10, 1989 <br /> <br />B ~ ~ Q 1 ~ T l Q N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "r'lood <br />Hazard Area Delineation, Piney Creek Tributaries," dated April, <br />1989, has been prepared by Greenhorne and O'Mara, Inc., at the <br />request of the Urban Drainage and F'lood Control District in <br />cooperation with Arapahoe County, Colorado; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain <br />information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels on <br />Tenderfoot Gulch, Sampson Gulch, Saddle Rock Ranches Gulch, <br />South Saddle Rock Tributary, and Antelope Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District has <br />requested the Colorado Water conservation Board to designate <br />and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br />report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section <br />Statutes, requires the <br />assist in the prevention <br />and <br /> <br />37-60-l06(1)(c). Colorado Revised <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, provide that such legis la ti ve bod ies of loca 1 <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only <br />after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative <br />bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and finds that it meets all the applicable requirements for <br />des igna t ion as detai led floodpla in informa t ion under the <br />Board's "Rules and Regulations for the DeGignation and Approval <br />of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in <br />Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); <br /> <br />0419E* <br />
