Bijou Creek near Wiggins, Colorado <br /> <br />A flood of major proportions, approaching two-thirds of the PMF, occurred in theBijou Creek basin <br />of Colorado, on June 17 and 18,1965. This flood was the result ofa s"eries of storms passing <br />in rapid succession, This series began on May30, 1965, with a storm that caused extremely high <br />water in BIJou Creek. The storm series continued and, on June 15, 1965, ,Bijou Creek and many <br />other creeks in the area flooded. "Damage caused by the flood of June 15 in the Bijou Creek basin <br />could not be determined because a more devastating flood occurred only 48 hours later."
