CONSTRUCTION S{f u..AAJ..A.A.J ~ ~ 4 The prime contractor for Crystal Dam (Curecanti Unit) made good progress with excavation of the keyway to bed. rock and preparation for placement of concrete in early 1975. An extension of the Curecanti.Crystal 115.kV trans- mission line was completed, and bi. tuminous surfacing was placed on roadways and parking areas at Morrow POint and Blue Mesa Dams. On the Glen Canyon Unit, exploratory wells to determine the Lake Powell bank storage were completed. A contract was awarded in June 1974 to seal coat the streets of Page, Ariz. Two contracts to rehabilitate the canal and laterals of the Hammond Project were awarded. Exploratory drilling at the proposed Stateline Dam site, Lyman Project. was completed. The drilling was required to determine feasibility of the site as an alternate to the China Meadows site. A contract for spiltway repair was awarded during the year on the lemon Dam, Florida Project, and the work was substantially completed by the end of the fiscal year. Contracts on the Bonneville Unit, Cen. tral Utah ProJect, that were completed include an overlook fence at Soldier Creek Dam; Knight DIversion Dam mod. Ification; earthlining Channel No.2. Strawberry Aqueduct; and connecting Currant and layout Tunnels with 132. inch.diameter pipe for the Water Hollow crossing. Clearing 01 the Strawberry Reservoir Enlargement was underway. A contract lor the Bostwick Park later. als (Bostwick Park Project, Colorado) was awarded and completed. On the Navajo Indian Irrigation Project work continued on the main canal, on the access road, and on Tunnel NO.4. Block No.1 drains on the Emery County Project were completed and a contract awarded for the Block No.2 drains.
