Plastino, Director of Public Works <br /> <br />Dale <br /> <br />April 18, 1983 <br /> <br />Attached are official modifications of the En~ineering Re~ulations, Con- <br />struction Specifications, and Desi~n Standards regarding the Storm Drainage <br />Criteria Manual ("The Blue Book"). <br /> <br />In addition to the changes attached to this memorandum, the following items <br />in the Lakewood City procedures shall also be changed: <br /> <br />1) Letters from the City to the developer's engineer with review <br />comments shall be made available t" the d"veloper' s engineer <br />immediately after typing. The EngLneering Secretary shall make <br />a phone call to the developer's engineer inquiring whether they <br />wish to pick up the comments or have them mailed. If the engineer <br />says they will pick the letter up, the City's comments will be <br />kept at the front desk for pick-up by the developer's engineer for <br />two days, at which time the letter will automatically be sent out <br />in the mail . <br /> <br />2) Drainage reports will not be placed in double jeopardy. If, after <br />a complete City review of a submittal, a subsequent review reveals <br />deficiencies that should have been picked up in the earlier review, <br />then the consulting engineer will not be required to correct them <br />unless they are major items of significance. <br /> <br />3) The Engineering Secretary will not read the City's comments over <br />the phone. <br /> <br />4) il the Engineering Secretary is unab 1" to reach the developer's <br />engineer either through a secretary or an answering service the <br />comments will be mailed. <br /> <br />RJP:jk <br /> <br />At taehmen t <br />
