<br />Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside, Santil Barbara, <br />Orange and Ventura Counties: <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br />Six Southern California counties declared in 1995 are <br />among the top 11 NFIP Repetitive Loss Counties in <br />California. Los Angeles County is second only to Sonoma <br />County in the number of NFIP repetitive loss properties in <br />the State. There were initial reports of possibly 50 major or <br />substantially damaged structures throughout Southern <br />California. This included the loss of 18 to 25 mobile homes <br />in Oceanside. <br /> <br />Due to the high number of individual disaster assistance <br />registrations in this area, in conjunction with significant <br />numbers of repetitive loss claims, this area will be closely <br />reviewed and monitored for mitigation opportunities. <br /> <br />Petaluma, Sonoma County: <br /> <br />The City of Petaluma has 30 repetitive loss properties <br />including a mobile home park within the city which was <br />evacuated, While the park escaped flooding during this <br />event, it is subject to repetitive loss damage and is being <br />considered by city officials as a potential acquisition and <br />relocation project. <br /> <br />Rio Linda, (Unincorporated) Sacramento County <br /> <br />The community of Rio Linda has a chronic shallow flooding <br />problem. Approximately 230 structures were damaged <br />during the current event. Total repetitive damaged <br />structures are being surveyed. The State Reclamation <br />Board regulates the Dry Creek f100dway and is fully <br />coordinating permit procedures with Sacramento County, <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />..JJ...,J 'i1/;J;,.J;- R,,-I <br />~ 1995 <br />
