REPORTING CATEGORY' , PROJECT NUMBER , $ 20.000 , CONTRACT <br />ENCUMBRANCE NUMBER C 1;:'-, r;2 ;) ; and <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) requires a GIS map of landslide susceptibility <br />areas to be compiled for the CWCB and the City of Colorado Springs for hazard-mitigation purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Geological Survey (CGS) can provide qualified researchers to perform this work; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed that: <br /> <br />A) Scope of Services: <br /> <br />1) The CGS will provide the services of a Senior Geologist and a Staff Geologist through March 31, 2002. <br /> <br />2) The Senior and Staff Geologists will provide the following services to the CWCB: <br /> <br />a) Gather pertinent, pre-existing geological information that is readily obtainable, including public-record <br />maps and reports. <br /> <br />b) Create a Landslide Hazards Map as GIS layers, including a layer for known landslide areas and a layer <br />for areas that are susceptible to landslides because of similarities with known landslide areas. <br /> <br />c) Prepare an Executive Sununary report that will explain the project methodology, pertinent findings, <br />map units, suggested uses, and conclusions. <br /> <br />3) The CGS will provide administrative support for these activities. <br /> <br />4) See the attached Proposal document (EXHIBIT A) for a more detailed account of the scope of services. <br /> <br />Page I of3 <br />
