<br />e <br /> <br />FPR 95-393 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Shennan Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />January 25, 1995 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Floodplain Management Study, Town of <br />Limon, Colorado" dated September, 1982 has been prepared by the USDA Soil Conservation Service; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detiiled fl(lodplain information for Big Sandy Creek and the <br />East, Middle and West Tributaries to Big Sandy Creek within the corporate limits of the Town of <br />Limon, as they were in September 1982; and <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Town of Limon, <br />Colorado, by Resolution No. 207, adopted on January 1, 1983, designated and approved the floodplains <br />described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Floodplain Insurance Study, Town of <br />Limon, Colorado" dated May 1984 has been prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency <br />. and . <br />, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for those portions of Big Sandy <br />Creek and the East, Middle and West Tributaries to 8ig Sandy Creek within the corporate limits of the <br />Town of Limon, as they were in May 1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain information in said report dated May 1984 is consistent with <br />the detailed floodplain information in the report previously designated by Resolution No. 207; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Limon, Colorado, has requested the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board to designate llIld approve the floodplains set forth in said report; llIld <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colontdo Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; llIld <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado Water <br />
