Hydrologist, Clifford Jenkins, has stated <br /> <br />that rainfall could grea'~ly infl'h'mce the pE,ak. fJows on <br /> <br />the Colorado River at Grand J'unci:..ion. ~rb.ere is enoug'h <br /> <br />drainage area between Gr,~nd Junct,ion and the high areas <br /> <br />that a rain storm could produce a .higher peak flow than <br /> <br />the snow melt peak flow. It is possi.ble that as mOre <br /> <br />controls are built t:o store snow :me 1 t runoff, mOI'e <br /> <br />of the runoff peaks will result h::om rainfall. <br />
