2

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM and
in the effective FIS report. We have revised the FIRM and FIS report to modify the elevations and
floodplain and floodway boundary delineations of the base flood along East Plwn Creek from
approximately 2,000 feet upstream to approximately 4,200 feet upstream of the confluence with Section 34
Tributary. As a result ofthe modifications, the BFEs for East Plum .Creek increased in some areas and
decreased in other areas. Because the decreases are too small to affect the whole-foot BFEs shown on the
FIRM, they will not be published in the local newspaper. The widths of the SFHA and the regulatory
floodway also increased in some areas and decreased in other areas.

In addition, this analysis established BFEs for Section 34 Tributary from approximately 600 feet upstream
to approximately 14,000 feet upstream and zone designations from approximately 14,000 feet upstream to
approximately 15,500 feet upstream of the confluence with East Plwn Creek. As a result of the
modifications, the width of the SFHA along Section 34 Tributary increased in some areas and decreased in
other areas. This revision also established BFEs for a portion of Glade Gulch from approximately 2,400
feet upstream to approximately 6,000 feet upstream of the confluence with East Plwn Creek. As a result of
the modifications, the width of the SFHA along Glade Gulch decreased.

The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copies of FIRM Panels 0285 C, 0295 C, 0303 C,
and 0315 C; Profile Panels 16P, 17P, and 127P through 134P; and affected portions of the Summary of
Discharges Table and Floodway Data Table. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the
above-referenced panels of the effective FIRM dated September 30, 1987, and the affected portions of the
FIS report dated January 5, 1996. . .. ,

The modifications are effective as of the date shown above. The map panels as listed above and as
modified by this letter will be used for all flood insurance policies, and renewals issued for your
community.

The following table is a partial listing of existing and modified BFEs:

Location

Existing BFE
(feet)*

Modified BFE
(feet)*

East Plwn Creek:
Approximately 3,200 feet upstream of confluence
with Section 34 Tributary

6,378

6,380

Section 34 Tributary:
Approximately 700 feet upstream of confluence
with East Plwn Creek
Approximately 7,000 feet upstream of confluence
with East Plwn Creek
Approximately 13,000 feet upstream of confluence
with East Plwn Creek

None'

6,369

None

6,502
6,648

None

Glade Gulch:
Approximately 600 feet upstream of Denver
and Rio Grande Western Railroad
Approximately 4,700 feet upstream of Denver
and Rio Grande Western Railroad

None

6,481
6,600

None

*Referenced to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum. rounded to the nearest whole foot
