Snowfall does occur throughout the winter period; however, <br />there is no large accumulation. Contribution of spring snowmelt to <br />flooding is not a factor at all. Spring and summer rains are most <br />likely to produce flooding in the study area. <br /> <br />Runoffs from the East and West Douglas Washes flow southerly on the <br />east side of Unincorporated Clifton, toward the Colorado River. In <br />the lower half of the watershed, there are two major canals, the <br />Government Highline Canal and Grand Valley Canal, and two ditches, <br />Price Ditch and Stub Ditch. These canals and ditches flow from <br />east to west of the watershed. <br /> <br />3 <br />
