In a letter dated July 15, 1999, Mr. Randy Stouder. Town Planner.
BuildinglPlanning Department, Town of Gypsum, requested that FEMA investigate a discrepancy between
the elevations of the flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base
flood) along the Eagle River shown on the effective Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and the base flood
elevations (BFEs) shown in the flood profiles and F100dway Data Table in the effective FIS report. We
determined that on September 30, 1983, FEMA revised the FIRM and Flood Boundary and Floadway Map
(FBFM) to reflect updated topographic information associated with construction of Eagle River Estates
subdivision. However, the information contained in the FIS report was inadvertently not revised. This
Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) is being issued to correct the information in the FIS report so that it
matches the information shown on the effective FIRM and FBFM. All data required to complete our
review of this request were submitted with letters from Mr. Stouder.

Because this LOMR is being issued to correct a mapping or study analysis error, fees were not assessed
for the review.

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown in the effective FIS report.
We have revised the FIS report to modify the BFEs along the Eagle River. As a result of the
modifications, the BFEs for the Eagle River increased in some areas and decreased in other areas and are
consistent with those shown on the effective FIRM. The modifications are shown on the enclosed
annotated copies of Prome Panel(s) 05P and 06P and affected portions of the Floodway Data Table. This
LOMR hereby revises the affected portions of the FIS report dated March 16, 1981. The modifications
are effective as of the date shown above.

We will not physically revise and republish the FIS report for your community to reflect the modifications
made by this LOMR at this time. When changes to the FIS report warrant physical revision and
republication in the future, we will incorporate the modifications made by this LOMR at that time.
