<br />power generating plants have been installed at three of the four storage <br />units. A generating plant has been installed on one of the participating <br />projects and generating plants will be included on other participating <br />projects where such developments are found to be feasible. <br /> <br />B. Project Features. The four storage units are Glen Canyon on the <br />Colorado River 1n Ar1zona near the Utah border; Flaming Gorge on the Green <br />River in Utah near the Wyoming border; Navajp on the San Juan River in New <br />Mexico near the Colorado border; and Wayne N. Aspinall (formerly Curecanti) <br />on the Gunnison River in west central Colorado. There are now 20 <br />participating projects, ten of which were authorized by Public'Law 84-485 on <br />April 11, 1956, and ten by subsequent Acts of the Congress. One other <br />participating project, the Pine River Extension Project, was authorized by <br />Public Law 84-485 and was deauthorized on September 30, 1968, by Public Law <br />90-537. <br /> <br />The Flaming Gorge Powerplant went on the line in November 1963, <br />followed by the Glen Canyon Powerplant in September 1964. On the Wayne N. <br />Aspinall Unit, the Blue Mesa Powerplant went, on the line in September 1967, <br />the Morrow Point Powerplant in December 1970, and the Crystal Powerplant in <br />August 1978. The Fontenelle Powerplant of the Seedskadee participating <br />project went on the line in May 1968. Following are the present nameplate <br />generating capacities, the present capabilities, and the estimated future <br />capabilities with planned uprating of the generators through replacing <br />stator windings, rotor poles and windings, and by making other electrical <br />and mechanical modifications as needed: <br /> <br />CRSP <br /> <br />Glen Canyon Powerplant <br /> <br />Flaming Gorge Powerplant <br /> <br />Wayne N.
