<br />, ' ,'WHEREAS, a' floodplain information report entitled "Ma~or
<br />Drainageway Planning, Hidden Lake - Bates Lake, Phase B Report,'
<br />Volumes I and II; dated November, 1975,. and covering are8s of Adams
<br />and Jefferson Counties ,has been prepared by Hydro Triad, Ltd., at the
<br />request of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District ,and the,
<br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; qnd
<br />
<br />, WHEREAS,said report describes and outlines the floodplain
<br />, data and information for the storm and flooc:l,t\1<!t_er, runoff channels.or
<br />basins of the s turly area; . and '
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood, Control Vistrict has'
<br />requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and
<br />,approve the floodplain area as set forth in the aforesaid report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised ,Statutes
<br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to s.ssist in the
<br />prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28';'111, Colorado Revised
<br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris-
<br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for land, useS on or along any'
<br />storm or f1oodw8ter runoff channel or basin only after designation and
<br />approval 'by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60':106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes
<br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and
<br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make such
<br />designationsaV8ilable to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and
<br />
<br />WHERE/l.S, the staff of th~ lloard has reviewed said report and
<br />does hereby recommend to the ColoradO Water Conservation Board that
<br />the board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas inundated
<br />by a 100-year flood (intermedj.ate regional flood) as described by the ' ,
<br />floodwater surface elevations' and profiles in said report;

<br />flood as set forth in said report for the floodplain conditions existing
