Channel modifications by the Colorado State Division of Highways
(CSDH) have been constructed as part of the 1-76 project east of Wadsworth.

Channel Improvement Costs

Channel-Crossing Costs

The City of Wheat Ridge Johnson Park occupies the southern portion of the
floodpl ain west of Wads\ll)rth. Upon completion of the I-76/Wads\ll)rth inter-
change, the vehicle maintenance access and trail 1 inkage to Wads\ll)rth will
be el iminated because of steep topography. A new access route from Wads-
worth has not been resolved. The floodplain west of Wads\ll)rth Blvd. will
remain in its present configuration and will need to be regulated by the
City of Wheat Rid8e. The structures remaining within the floodplain may be
candidates for floodproofing, for acquisition in the event of substantial
flood d<rnage and for flood insurance.

Util ity Relocation Costs

TOTAL CONSTRUCTION COSTS

Et,GHIEERING AND CONTINGENCIES (301, of Construction Costs)

The Colorado Division of Highways (CSDH) has constructed a 100-year
rock-l ined channel downstream of Wads\ll)rth, as well as a hiker/biker/main-
tenance access trail parallel ing the creek along the 1-76 project area.
