I. AUTHORIZATION
This report was authorized by the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD)
as part of a program of identifying floodprone areas within the District's jurisdiction. The study
was funded by the UDFCD.
This study identifies floodprone areas along Beebe Draw and three tributaries to Beebe
Draw, Magpie Run, Meadowlark Run and Redwing Creek. The drainageways are located in
northern Adams County, Colorado within the urban growth area of the City of Brighton. The
floodplain information included in this report is provided to local governments to enable the
enacttnent of a comprehensive local floodplain management program.
Upon acceptance of this report by the UDFCD, and the designation and approval of the
flood hazard areas by the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB), this study can be used
to regulate future floodplain construction, to guide future drainageway improvements and to plan
flood protection measures along the channel and floodplains of the study area.
