Boulder County and Incorporated Areas Designation
City of Boulder Designation Request

As of the completion of the Boulder County, Colorado and Incorporated Areas AS (AS effective
date June 2, 1995), we have not received the City of Boulder's designation request letter. This
memorandum serves as a summary of the City's assumed position on the designation based on
discussions with local officials,

Mr, Alan Taylor, an engineer with the City, was contacted by phone in November, 2000, and
January and March, 2001. Mr, Taylor did not have problems with the designation and indicated
during each phone call that the designation request letter would be drafted and returned. There
are five drainageway projects that the City is working on which will eventually result in changes
to the floodplains (through LOMRs), including: Gregory Canyon, Bear Creek Canyon, Boulder
Creek, Fourmile Canyon Creek Master Plan and the South Boulder Creek Corridor Master Plan,
CWCB has attended meetings regarding the South Boulder Creek Corridor Master Plan.
