While only one of the reports directly addresses

Lakewood Gulch itself, the others provide information on adjacent

gulches and streams which affect Lakewood Gulch indirectly.

Flood Hazard Area Delineation reports have been prepared for all

of the major tributaries of Lakewood Gulch. Following is a tab-

ulation of these reports; when appropriate, a brief description

is given of the relationship to the current report:

4. "Major Drainageway Planning, McIntyre Gulch, Phase B."

Prepared by Hydro Triad, Ltd. for the UDFCD and the

City of Lakewood. November 1977. This report illus-

trates the extent of predicted flooding caused by

McIntyre Gulch at its confluence with Lakewood Gulch

west of Wadsworth Boulevard.

1. "Flood Plain Information, Metropolitan Region, Denver,

Colorado. Volume I, Report and Technical Appendix,

South platte River, Waterton to Brighton, Colorado."

U.S. Army Engineer District, Omaha. October, 1963.

5. Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Dry Gulch and Tribu-

taries." Prepared by Sellards & Grigg, Inc. for the

UDFCD, the City of Lakewood, and the City and County

of Denver. This report illustrates the predicted

flooding caused by Dry Gulch at its confluence with

Lakewood Gulch east of Perry Street. Prepared Nov., 1977.

2. "Report on Floods of June 1965, South Platte River
Basin, Colorado and Nebraska." U.S. Army Engineer
District, Omaha. January 1967. This report does not
present information directly related to Lakewood
Gulch, but it does illustrate flooding caused by the
South Platte River at the mouth of Lakewood Gulch.

3. "Platte River and Tributaries, Nebraska, Wyoming and

Colorado, Floods of May-June 1973." U.S. Army Corps

of Engineers, Omaha District. July 1974. This report

6. "Major Drainageway Planning, Phase B, Sloans Lake

Basin." Prepared by URS Company for the UDFCD and the
Cities of Denver, Edgewater, Lakewood, and Wheat Ridge.
December, 1977. This report illustrates the extent of
flooding from the basin, which is tributary to the South
Platte River just north of Lakewood Gulch. Much of the
area on the west bank of the South Platte is subject
to flooding from both sources.
