No problems were <br />raised at the meeting. <br /> <br />2.0 AREA STUDIED <br /> <br />2.1 Scope of Study <br /> <br />This Flood Insurance Study covers the unincorporated areas of <br />Moffat County, Colorado. The area of study is shown on the Vicinity <br />Map (Figure 1). <br /> <br />The incorporated communities of the City of Craig and the Town <br />of Dinosaur have been excluded from this study. <br /> <br />The following streams were studied by detailed methods in Moffat <br />County: <br /> <br />Stream <br /> <br />Miles Studied <br /> <br />Yampa River <br />Fortification Creek <br />Sand Gulch <br />Sand Gulch Tributary <br />Brotherton Gulch <br />Cedar Mountain Gulch <br />Pine Ridge Gulch <br />Lay Creek <br />Big Gulch <br /> <br />7.0 <br />8.9 <br />1.6 <br />0.5 <br />0.7 <br />2.6 <br />1.5 <br />5.0 <br />3.4 <br /> <br />Those areas studied by detailed methods were chosen with considera- <br />tion given to all proposed construction and forecasted development <br />through 1985. <br /> <br />Two unnamed tributaries flow into Yampa River through the eastern <br />edge of the City of Craig. For the purposes of this study, the <br />westernmost stream will be called Tributary 1, and the eastern- <br />most stream will be called Tributary 2.
