No. 52 " ') COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD '102 Columbine Building 1845 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 M~rch17, 1976 R E SOLUTION WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Hazard Analyses"Portions of Jinnny Camp Creek and Tributaries, El Paso County, Colorado," dated October, 1975 has been prepared by the United States Soil Conservation Service at the request'of El Paso County and the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and , ' WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain data and ,information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or basins of the study area; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners ofEl Paso County has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and Statutes dictions storm or approval , , WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the pre- vention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and 'WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111,' Colorado Revised 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris-, may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and ) WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, directs the Colorado Water ,Conservation Board to designate and approve storm'O:L floodwater runoff,channels or basins and to make ,such :designations available to ,legislative bodies of local jurisdictions;' and WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as described by , the floodwater surface, elevations! ,and profile sin said report; , " . ----- -- - --.----- --~-----------------_._---- - - ~--~-- -------- - - N'OVl; -THERE-FORE~ ~ BE--if-RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, ,this 17th day of March, 1976 that it does hereby designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated by a 100-year flood as set, forth in said report; , and ) BE 1Tj?URTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is \ .
