<br />:'~ <br /> <br />(7:\ <br /> <br />~,-. <br /> <br />No. 52 <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />') <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />'102 Columbine Building <br />1845 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />M~rch17, 1976 <br /> <br />R E SOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Analyses"Portions of Jinnny Camp Creek and Tributaries, El Paso <br />County, Colorado," dated October, 1975 has been prepared by the United <br />States Soil Conservation Service at the request'of El Paso County and <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br />, ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and ,information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners ofEl Paso County <br />has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />Statutes <br />dictions <br />storm or <br />approval <br /> <br />, , <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, <br />requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the pre- <br />vention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />'WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111,' Colorado Revised <br />1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris-, <br />may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and <br />by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water ,Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm'O:L floodwater runoff,channels or basins and to make ,such <br />:designations available to ,legislative bodies of local jurisdictions;' <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board that <br />the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas inundated <br />by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as described by , the <br />floodwater surface, elevations! ,and profile sin said report; , " . <br /> <br />----- -- - --.----- --~-----------------_._---- - - <br />~--~-- -------- - - N'OVl; -THERE-FORE~ ~ BE--if-RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, ,this <br />17th day of March, 1976 that it does hereby designate and approve as <br />floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated by a 100-year <br />flood as set, forth in said report; , and <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />BE 1Tj?URTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />. <br />
