S, Army CotPS of Engineers, Albuquerque <br />Di;;trict, has completed for the city of Trinidad, Flood plain Informa- <br />tion Report, Purgatoire River and Tributaries, Vicinity of Trinidad, <br />Las Animas County, Colorado, dated April, 1974; and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood Plain Information Report outlines and <br />describes the floodwater runoff channels within the above described <br />areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106 (1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board, to a9sist in the <br />prevention of floods and flood damageS therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised' <br />Statutes 1973, provide that: such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or floodwater <br />runoff channel only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and " <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-l06(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board, upon designation <br />and approval of the flood hazard areaS as set forth in the aforesaid <br />U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Flood plain Information Report, to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local Jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood Plain <br />Information Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve as flood <br />hazard areas those areas set forth in the report as being subject to <br />ane intermediate regional flood; <br /> <br />, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this <br />26th day of February 1975 that it doeS hereby _<!E!s:i.gn1!te _and,_appro'ITe-as <br />flood ,hazard -areas those -areas - ael'lcti5ea- ~ls- 'being inundated by an <br />intermediate regional flood as set forth in the Flood Plain Information <br />Report for the purgatoire River and Tributaries, Vicinity of Trinidad, <br />Las Animas County, Colorado, dated April, 1974; and <br /> <br />, <br />
