WHEREAS, a flaadplain infarmatian report entitled "Special
Fload Hazard Info.rmatio.n, Arkansas River and Wild Harse Creek, Hally,
Co.lo.rado.," dated April, 1975, has been prepared by ,the U. S. Army
Carps af Engineers, Albuquerque District, at the request af the
Co.larada Water Canservatian Baard; and'

WHEREAS, said repo.rt describes and o.utlinesthe flaodplain
, data and infannatianfo.r the, starmand flo.adwater ru.noffchannels-or
basins of the, .study area;and-' ' ,

WHEREAS,Section 37;';60:-106(1), Co.lo.rado. Revised Statutes
1973, requires the Colorado. Water Conservatio.n Board to. assist in the
preventio.n of flaads and flood damages therefrom; and '

WHEREAS, Sections3l-23;..20l and 30-28:-111,ColoradoRevised
Statutes 1973, pro.vide that such legislative bodies of lo.cal juris-
) dictions may pravide zaning regulatians far land uses an .ar along any
,starm ar flo.adwater runaff channel arbasin"anly after designation and
approval by. the Calarada Water Conservatian Baard; and

WHEREAS, 'Sectian 37-60-106(1)(c),'Calorada Revised Statutes
1973, directs the CalaradaWater CanservatiDn Baard to designate and
approve starm ar flao.dwater runaff channels arbasins and to. make such
designatians available to. legislative bodiesaf lo.cal jurisdictio.ns;

WHEREAS, ,the staff af' the Bo.ard has reviewed' sdd repart and
daes hereby recommend to. the Calarado.water Co.nservation Baard that the
Board designate and apprave as flaodplain areas tho.seareas inundated
by a 100-year flaad (intermediate regional flaad) as described by the
f. laadwater surface elevatio.ns and prafiles in said repart;
