<br />----- <br /> <br />THE URBAN DRAINAGE AND FLDOD CONTROL DISTRICT <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.~, SERIES OF 1981 <br />(Acceptance of Flood Hazard Area Delineation Report <br />for Weaver Creek) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously established a Work Program for 1974 <br /> <br /> <br />(Resolution No. 20, Series of 1973) which includes delineating flood hazard <br /> <br />areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously appropriated the sum of One Hundred <br /> <br /> <br />Thirty-Eight Thousand ($138,000.00) Dollars for Flood Haza"d A"ea Identification <br /> <br /> <br />(Resolution No. 28, Se"ies of 1974); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the Board has previously authorized the Executive Director to <br /> <br /> <br />execute agreements with qualified engineers for the completion of Flood Hazard <br /> <br /> <br />Area Identification Studies (Resolution No. 28, Series of 1974); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the Board has previously indicated its desir~ that the results of <br /> <br />such studies be provided to the local governments 50 as to assist such local <br /> <br /> <br />governments in meeting the requirements of HB 1041; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Executive Director has executed a contratt with Leonard Rice <br /> <br /> <br />Consulting Water Engineers, Inc. for a Flood Hazard Area ~lineat;on Study of <br /> <br /> <br />Weaver Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, development of portions of the floodplain netessitated a delay in <br /> <br /> <br />the delineation study; an9 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS. additional studies to account for that devel~pment were authorized <br /> <br />by Resolution No. 36, Series of 1978; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> <br />1. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District <br /> <br />accept the report "Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Weaver Creekll, <br /> <br />May, 1981 by Leonard Rice Consultin9 Water En9ineers, Inc. and <br /> <br />recommend its use as a guide in future planning related to Weaver <br /> <br />Creek; <br /> <br />2. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District <br /> <br />recommend that Jefferson County and Lakewood adopt the report ~nd regu- <br /> <br />late the 100-year floodplains defined in the report; and <br /> <br />3. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District <br /> <br /> <br />submit the report for designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />
