<br />after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(l}(c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br /> <br /> <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br /> <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative <br /> <br /> <br />bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said <br /> <br /> <br />information and data and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br /> <br /> <br />Water Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve <br /> <br /> <br />as floodplain areas those areas inundated by a lOa-year flood <br /> <br /> <br />(intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater <br /> <br /> <br />surface elevations and profiles in said report. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br /> <br /> <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Grand <br /> <br /> <br />Junction, Colorado, this 4th day of September, 1986, that it <br /> <br /> <br />does hereby designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br /> <br /> <br />areas described by the floodwater surface elevations and <br /> <br /> <br />profiles in said report, dated August, 1972, <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is <br />directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, the Urban <br />Drainage and Flood Control District, and the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency. <br /> <br />-4- <br />
