This letter is being written in regard to the White Rive~ Floodplain
Information Report which also includ~s the Sulphur Creek and Sanderson
Heights drainageway, and was prepare6 for the Meeker Community. Both Rio
Blanco County and the Town of Meeker jointly request the Colo~ado Water
Board's consideration of certificaticn of the final report of the White
River Study and resulting State desi~nation for that study ar~a.

Please refer to 1973 C.R.S. 30-28-111 for the County's authority in
making that request of you and 31-23~201 for the TOl.u of Meeker's request.

We wish to thank you and your staff, with a special thanks going to
Bill Stanton, for all of the assistance given us throughout the long and
difficult study period. We believe that this cooperation is a fine example
of what State and Local government cooperation can and should be~
