At that time the Board gave the following direction to the
county staff,
. The staff was to prepare an ordinance to amend the county's floodplain regulations to
incorporate relevant portions of the recommendations from the River Stewardship Committee
and the proposed regulations to be adopted by the Town of Basalt. This would allow for a
consistent set of floodplain regulations throughout the lower reach of the Roaring Fork River
in Pitkin County and the Town of Basalt.
. The staff was to prepare a request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to
adopt new floodplain mapping, including a zero-rise floodway, from the confluence of
Snowmass Creek and the Roaring Fork River to the Eagle/Garfield County line on the
Roaring Fork,

<

, ,/1 / /1/
~ C.U"L--'
B.W.
