<br />2.0 AREA STlmIED <br /> <br />2.1 Scope of Study <br /> <br />This Flood Insurance STudy covers the unincorporated areas of Eagle <br />County, Colorado. The area of study is shown on the Vicinity Map <br />(Figure 1). The incorporated Towns of Basalt, Minturn, Eagle, <br />Gypsum, Redcliff, ~nd Vail were excluded from this study. <br /> <br />Eagle River (at Minturn), Fryingpan River, Taylor Creek, Brush <br />Creek, Roaring Fork River, Eagle River (at Redcliff), and Turkey <br />Creek were studied in detail. <br /> <br />Detailed study limits in Eagle County are as follows: <br /> <br />1. Eagle River (at Minturn), from the Town of Minturn <br />corporate limits upstream approximately 5420 feet <br /> <br />2. Fryingpan River, from its mouth upstream approxi- <br />mately 55,270 feet <br /> <br />3. Taylor Creek, from 70 feet upstream of its conflu- <br />ence with Fryingpan River, upstream approximately <br />2570 feet <br /> <br />4. Brush Creek, from its confluence with Eagle River <br />upstream to the Town of Eagle corporate limits and <br />from 500 feet above Allen Tract Access Road to 11,845 <br />feet above Brush Creek Road. <br /> <br />5. Roaring Fork River, from the lower limit of detailed <br />study, near the Town of Basalt, upstream to the <br />Eagle-Pitkin County Limits <br /> <br />6. Eagle River (at Redcliff), from approximately 30 feet <br />downstream of the Town of Redcliff downstream corp- <br />orate limits to approximately 770 feet upstream of <br />the upstream corporate limits <br /> <br />7. Turkey Creek, from approximately 33 feet downstream <br />of the Town of Redcliff corporate limits to approxi- <br />mately 95 feet upstream of Shrine Pass Road <br /> <br />2 <br />
