<br />5.4 Flood Insurance Rate Map Descripti.on <br /> <br />The Flood Insurance Rate Map for Broomfield is. for insurance <br />purposes, the principal product of the Flood Insurance Study. This <br />map contains the official delineation of flood insurance zones and <br />base flood elevations. Base flood elevation lines show the <br />locations of the expected whole-foot water-surface elevation of the <br />base (lOO-year) flood. The base flood elevations and zone numbers <br />are used by insurance agents, in conjunction with structure eleva- <br />tions and characteristics, to assign actuarial insurance rates to <br />structures and contents insured under the NFIP. <br /> <br />6.0 OTHER STUDIES <br /> <br />A Major Drainageway Plan for the Cities of Broomfield and Westminster <br />was published in November 1979 (Reference 15). <br /> <br />Flood Insurance <br />(Reference 12), <br />(Reference 7). <br />with the results <br /> <br />Studies have been prepared for. the City of Louisville <br />Jefferson County (Reference 10) and Adams County <br />The results of those studies are in general agreement <br />of this study. <br /> <br />A Flood Hazard Boundary Map has been prepared for the City of <br />Westminster (Reference 13) and is in a$reement with this study. <br /> <br />A revised Flood <br />(Reference 14); <br />of this study. <br /> <br />Insurance Study is in progress for Boulder County <br />the results of that study will agree with the results <br /> <br />7.0 LOCATION OF DATA <br /> <br />Information concerning the pertinent. data used in the preparation of <br />this study can be obtained by contacting the Natural and Technological <br />Hazards Division, FEMA, Denver Federat Center, Building 710, Box 25267, <br />Denver, Colorado 80225-0267. <br /> <br />8.0 BIBLIOGRAPHY AND REFERENCES <br /> <br />1.
