<br />PURPOSE <br /> <br />It is the purpose of this report to re-constitute the <br /> <br /> <br />hydrologic and hydraulic characteristics of the July 30. 1989 <br /> <br /> <br />flood event for the North Fork Frenchman Creek basin. <br /> <br />SCOPE <br /> <br />The report presents data on the sto:cm conditions. <br />precipitation. and runoff that caused flooding in yaoli, <br />Colorado and vicinity. <br /> <br />AREA STUDIED <br /> <br />The areas covered in the investigation extend from <br /> <br /> <br />downstream of Paoli. Colorado to the headwaters of the basin. <br /> <br /> <br />The most serious flooding, the greatest damage and the largest <br /> <br /> <br />discharge occurred within the reach of North Fork Frenchman <br /> <br /> <br />Creek between Fleming to Paoli. Colorado, <br /> <br />SOURCE OF INFORMATION <br /> <br />MntRorologic data were obtained from the National Weather <br />Service and area residents who witnessed the storm, A <br />re-constitution of the storm was performed by Benz <br />Meteorological Services for the CWCB. Hydrologic data on peak <br />flood discharges at two locations was obtained by the Colorado <br />3720E* <br />
