<br />4 <br />~: <br /> <br />.- ~ <br />04- ~ FJ~ <br /> <br />THE URBAN DRAINAGE AND FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. :k SERIES OF 2004 <br />(Acceptance of Flood Hazard Area Delineation Report for Plum Creek and East Plum Creek) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously established a Work Program for 2003 (Resolution No. 81, Series <br />of 2002) which included the delineation of flood hazard areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously authorized the Executive Director to expend funds from the <br />Flood Hazard Area Delineation budget for the completion of flood hazard area delineation studies (Resolution <br />No. 87, Series of2002); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, FEMA provided a grant to the District to obtain topographic mapping and prepare digital <br />products for inclusion in the Douglas County Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRM) on a 75%/25% <br />matching basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Executive Director has executed an agreement with ICON Engineering, Inc. for a flood <br />hazard area delineation study and production ofDFIRM products for Plum Creek and East Plum Creek in <br />Douglas County (Exhibit A); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report "Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Plum Creek and East Plum Creek," dated <br />August, 2004 has been completed by ICON Engineering, Inc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously indicated its desire that the results of such studies be provided to <br />the local governments so as to assist such local governments in meeting the requirements of HB 1041. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br />I. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District accepts the report <br />"Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Plum Creek and East Plum Creek," dated August, 2004. and <br />recommends its use as a guide in future planning related to the floodplains contained therein. <br />2. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District recommends that <br />Douglas County adopt the report and regulate the 100-year floodplains defined in the report. <br />3.
