<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />FPR 94-352 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Street <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />March 9, 1994 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation <br />completed a floodplain information report entitled <br />Identification Report, Gregory (Eureka) Gulch and <br />Central City, Colorado" <br /> <br />Board <br />"Flood <br />Nevada <br /> <br />(CWCB) <br />Hazard <br />Gulch, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested <br />by the City of Central City bY Resolution No. 279, adopted on <br />December 11, 1987 approved and d~signated the floodplains described <br />in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Insurance study, City of <br />Central City, Colorado, Gilpin County", dated February 16, 1994, <br />has been prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS,. said new report provides, on the basis of new <br />hydrologic and hydraulic analyses which consider flood control <br />improvements constructed by the City of Central city, detailed <br />floodplain information for Gregory and Eureka Gulches within the <br />corporate limits Central City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the floodplain information contained in the February <br />16, 1994 Flood Insurance StudY revises floodplain information <br />contained in Resolution No. 279 for Eureka Gulch; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Central City, Colorado, has requested the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the <br />floodplains set forth in the aforesaid new report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes, <br />required the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the <br />prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, provide that legislative bodies of local jurisdictions <br />may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any storm <br />or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and <br />
