For each of various specified magnitudes of regulated flows, <br />multiply the frequency indicated for each starting condition by the pro- <br />portion of time that the starting condition prevails. <br />c. Add these products to obtain the frequency of the specified <br />flow magnitude. <br />This procedure for obtaining a frequency curve is illustrated in <br />Section 8.06 of Volume 3. <br />The computer program HEC-5C described in Appendix 1, can be used <br />to perform monthly multipurpose reservoir routings and short interval <br />flood routings during the same computer run. The program can also be <br />used for performing reservoir system flood operation studies for up to <br />nine ratios of,any number of flood patterns, and can compute regulated <br />frequency curves and expected average annual flood damage with and <br />without the reservoir systems. <br /> <br />4-03 <br />
