The higher 2-year rainfall was recommended by Resource <br /> <br />Consultants, Inc. for the Fossil Creek basin. The 500-year rainfall <br /> <br /> <br />value was estimated by extrapolating the selected I-hour values on <br /> <br /> <br />semi logarithmic paper. Adjustments for depth-area were based on the <br /> <br /> <br />depth-area relationship presented in the NOAA publication. At the <br /> <br /> <br />request of local interests, it was decided that no expected probability <br /> <br /> <br />adjustment would be applied to the rainfall in order to maintain <br /> <br /> <br />uniformity with consultants who will be using the rainfall curves. The <br /> <br /> <br />I-hour distribution was obtained from a 2-hour storm that Was provided <br /> <br /> <br />by Resource Consultants, Inc. These data are shown in table 8. The <br /> <br /> <br />Colorado Urban Hydrograph Procedure was used as a guide in rearranging <br /> <br /> <br />the incremental rainfall values. This rearrangement generally gives <br /> <br /> <br />the grea..est incremental rainfall at the end of the first one-half hour <br /> <br /> <br />of the stnrm.
