As many of those who had extensive damage are, they <br />are "senior citizens". <br /> <br />August 31, 1981 - storm's aftermath left ditches and swale partly filled <br />with debris <br />Backhoe work $ 85.00 <br />Own time spent in clean-up 10 days <br />Lawn damage, trees and shrubs lost $ 28.00 <br />Time spent in repair 5 days <br />Willia~ and Cheryl Wright, 2121 8ennett, once again had their front yard covered <br />with mud and debris and 1/2 of the back yard was al so damaged, necessitating <br />several days of cleani ng. <br />Timothy and Lynette Danner, 2111 Bennett Avenue <br />The mud flow destroyed the lawn, and chemical sprays used on the lawn <br />resulted in severe asthma and death to a cat, Mud was 2-4 inches in the garage <br />and destroyed a large area rug stored there, power tools and miscellaneous <br />items. The mud covered the front yard and about 1/3 of the back yard, destroyed <br />2 1/2 cords of firewood <br />Tractor work $ 40,00 <br />Shovels purchased, rented \1heelbarrow $ 80.00 <br />Total of 3 weeks spent cleaning including ten people helping one day. <br />Cement floor sunk in the garage, driveway and curb due to <br />weight of mud and moisture. <br />Carpet had to be cleaned $ 300.00 <br />Garage was only area with mud, items had to be thrown away <br />including rig, tools $ 500.00 <br />Van used in carpet cleaning business was in the driveway and <br />had to have mud removed from the wheels, brakes, under carriage. <br />
