Jencsok, F.E.
Supervising Water Resource Engineer

Dear Sirs:

This is in response to your letter dated February 5, 1979, with
the purpose of requesting study designation of a portion of the
Colorado River. This section of the Colorado yet to be designated
in accord with law and policy is upstream from the junction with
the Roaring Fork River to the city limits of Glenwood Springs, a
distance of about five thousand six hundred feet (5,600').

Pleae consider this as the formal request for designation and
advise us if there is any additional information we are able to
provide. A shaded map of the subject area is enclosed herewith.

Meanwhile, if you would provide copy(ies) of model regulations,
these could prove helpful in the administration of the Glenwood
Springs flood program. If you arc to be in this area, please let
us know ahead and stop in the City offices.

Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.

sincerely,
. .0:.-:<7 .(I/,
....... . / ...
,0/ .)~~U~_
c__/ '/- ~ _____-
(/ Larry Schmueser
City Manager

'\~ ,t."
