This is particularly <br />true if the levee is built on slippery ground. The <br />key trench and poly also helps to prevent water <br />from seeping under the emergency sandbag <br />levee and undermining the structure. <br /> <br />To create a good water barrier, the poly must <br />be anchored in the key trench. The poly should <br />be carefully unfolded and placed in the trench <br />towards the water side of the works. Sandbags <br />can then be placed on the poly to securely <br />anchor it in the trench and make a sound water <br />barrier. <br /> <br />13 <br />
