(e.g. Presidential Major <br />Disaster Declaration). appliclnts ma)' select the agency from <br />which the)' wish to obtlin their Housing Loss Loan. but all <br />application for farm loss loans will be referred to FmHA. <br />Housing losses ar1!Crefined as losses sustained to the farm <br />owner's personal dwelling. tenant housing or farm labor <br />housing and their contents, and other personal property con- <br />tained therein. <br /> <br />-- If an applicant is denied. an SBA disaster loan for a Housing <br />Loss because of lack of repayment ability due to low income, <br />the applicant may be referred to FmHA for its consideration <br />under their 502 Rural Housing Interest Credit Loan Program, <br />provided the applicant resides in I ru~al community or in a <br />community under 20,000 population. FmHA III)' be able to extend <br />interest credit assistance to such borrowers at rates as low <br />as 5 percent under this loan program. <br /> <br />6. EMERGENCY CONSERVATION PROGRAM (Eep) - Administered by the <br />Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) - (USDA). <br /> <br />-- Assistance to farmers and ranchers for repair or replacement <br />of permanent fencing; debris removal from cropland and fields; <br />grading and shaping (rehabilitation) of farmland, irrigation <br />ststem facilities. <br /> <br />-- Plyment from ASCS is 64.S.fo". up:ta $62,,500, .40 S for. <br />$62.500 - $125,000 Ind 20S for $125,000 - $200,000; remainder <br />paid by farmer. (FmHA or SBA will lend to cover the flnner's <br />shire) . <br /> <br />-- Available to counties approved b)' the county ASCS committee. <br /> <br />NOTE: ECP (except for repair or replacement or permanent fencing) <br />is not automatically triggered by Presidential Declaration. <br /> <br />5 <br />
