Albuquerque District, <br /> <br /> <br />has completed the Flood Plain Information Report, Rio Grande, Monte <br /> <br /> <br />Vista, Colorado; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood Plain Information Report outlines and <br /> <br /> <br />describes the storm or flood runoff channels within the above <br /> <br />described area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-1-11(4). Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963, requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate <br /> <br />and approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such <br /> <br />designations to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1. Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local <br /> <br /> <br />jurisdictions shall provide zoning regulations for any storm or <br /> <br /> <br />flood water runoff channel only after designation and approval by <br /> <br /> <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the Monte vista City council. Colorado, has re- <br /> <br />quested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br /> <br />approve the flood hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. <br /> <br />Corps of Engineers Flood Plain Information; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood <br /> <br /> <br />Plain Information Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br /> <br /> <br />Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve only <br />
